Do you have a collection? My sister collects “I Love Lucy” paraphernalia, my grandpa collects coins and my neighbor collects tennis balls (which is easy for him, since the kids in the neighborhood play tennis in front of his hedges!)

Some collections are a little less . . .um . . . normal. For example,  Dr. Douglass Arbittier collects old medical equipment, including amputation saws, and bloodletting artifacts. May I just say, yuck? Joseph W. Lauher has the largest collection of handcuffs (particularly vintage ones), leg irons, nippers, and thumbcuffs.  What's a nipper and a thumbcuff? Well, a nipper is a handcuff that locks only one hand, but has a handle for keeping the cuffed person under control and a thumbcuff, like its name implies, cuffs both of the person's thumbs. (If you already knew that, then maybe some of you quilters are wilder than I thought!) But the most eyebrow-raising collection I’ve ever heard of is Graham Barker's Navel Fluff Collection. You read that right. Naval Fluff. As in, belly button lint. Barker has been collecting his own belly button lint since 1984, and, well, just take a look:
