Electric Quilt Company Software offers quilt design software for Windows and quilt design software for Mac. The Electric Quilt 8 download is the most recent version of the program. There are many add-ons for the Electric Quilt program. You can purchase virtual fabric swatches as they are released from major manufacturers, add quilt patterns. and blocks. All of these add-ons expand the design capability of your quilt software.

You may be wondering, what is Block Base? Block Base is stand-alone software by Electric Quilt for Mac and Windows. It can also be used in conjunction with your Electric Quilt Company Software if you have the Electric Quilt 8 upgrade. (Hint: If you already have EQ7, you can upgrade to EQ8 less expensively than buying a new EQ8 program.) Block Base is drawn from the pages of Barbara Brackman’s Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns. It brings more than 4,000 quilt blocks to your computer screen–complete with rotary cutting charts, templates, or foundation paper-piecing patterns in any size you wish.
