Established in 2000, Free Spirit designer fabrics deliver a wide variety of bold, colorful designs to give quilters everywhere plenty of inspiration for their next projects. In 2007, FreeSpirit was purchased by Coats, which became the brand’s parent company for several years, until another company presented an intent to buy Free Spirit Fabrics Quilting.

FreeSpirit Fabrics was then acquired by Jaftex, a family business owned by Scott Fortunoff. Jaftex also produces Henry Glass Fabrics, Studio E Fabrics, Blank Quilting Fabrics, and many more. The FreeSpirit fabrics sale was finalized in mid-2018, and Free Spirit Fabrics quilting collections continue to live up to their name. To this day, FreeSpirit Fabrics remains a well-loved brand for quilters and crafters everywhere.

FreeSpirit designer fabrics have a family of brilliant artists who develop beautiful fabric collections for the brand each year.
