Triple Play: Double Square Star Quilt Tutorial
Triple Play: Double Square Star Quilt Tutorial
We have a new tradition here at Missouri Star: Triple Play! Once a month, Jenny, Misty, and Natalie each demonstrate their own, unique take on a favorite block, technique, or template. This week these talented Doan ladies are showing off three Double Square Star projects, and they are all quick and easy Halloween quilt patterns!
Misty's "Sashed Double Square Star" is made with 5" squares of precut fabric (charms). She used A Spooky Good Time Single Scoops by Kim Schaefer for Andover Fabric. This pretty quilt pattern combines our traditional block with sashing and cornerstones.
Jenny's quilt is also made with 5" square of precut fabric (charms). She used Ghouls and Goodies Charm Pack by Stacy Iest Hsu for Moda Fabrics. This adorable project is made unique with an extra little 4 patch in every block.
Natalie's Halloween table runner is also made with 5" square of precut fabric (charms). She used All Hallow's Eve Charm Pack by Fig Tree & Co. (Joanna Figueroa) for Moda Fabrics. This cute tablerunner has a zig zag border with sharp angles, but Natalie gives great tips to bind it with ease!
Finish your masterpiece and let us give it the finishing touch it deserves.
