Grunge - Cordite Gray 108" Wide Backing

I have used the Fairy Frost Snow for several projects but this is the first time I’ve used the black. This paired with the Gray Grunge andSnow Fairy Frost to make the top of this Carpenters Star pattern with the 3D effect.

I understand it’s a fiber, and not perfect, but there was a flaw in this fabric. I noticed it as I was rolling the backing onto the quilt frame.

I was disappointed with it for it was much darker gray than what was in the picture. After waiting for it to arrive, 2 weeks, then having to drive 60 miles, one way, to a fabric store because it wasn't working for what I needed it for, a baby quilt! My gift was not presented at the shower!

The grunge I bought is a beautiful greenish color and I will use it in something, but I actually thought this color was gray…..I was trying to match a particular gray shade and on screen it looked gray but in person it’s kinda greenish ….. at any rate it’s beautiful and I will find a pattern to use it in…….i just have to keep looking for the right “gray” grunge to match my project. This Grunge fabric was everything I expected. Have used it many times before. I love all the various colors it comes in. It's always a great choice for a blender.

Makes a great background color without being too overwhelming.

This grunge along with the Fields of Gold line of fabric was perfect for making the June Tailor lunchbox kit. I used the grunge for handles, the yellow gingham for the interior and the floral on gray for exterior. I think I may recreate as it turned out beautiful.

It was just what I wanted. The perfect match fir the back oof a quilt. Kudos
