Ubushobozi Table Topper Kit

I haven’t made this yet. The squares of fabric sent for the blocks are beautiful. However, the border fabric is a simple green and white print - nothing like the dynamic multi- color prints shown in all the ads. The ad did say that the fabrics would likely be different, but I didn’t think it would be this different. I will purchase a different border fabric before I make the table topper.

I absolutely love the wonderful, colorful patterns in this kit. Instead of a table topper, I made it into a cover for an ugly ottoman. Big improvement! The waxed material was easy to work with and is durable enough for the ottoman.

I just love this fabric and kit. I was at the cutting table at a local fabric store getting fabric for the backing. A woman dressed in African dress looked at the sample swatch that I had brought with me and with a surprised look said "I know that fabric". It was a true connection. I love what joy this project has brought to me.

Love how bright and colorful this table topper is. Especially love that it benefits a women’s cooperative!
