Utopia Quilt Kit

I was disappointed that the border fabric ( swirly colorful one) to this panel wasn’t large enough to do as the instructions stated. I had to cut and piece the border to fit properly around the panel. I washed the fabric before sewing but it was still 2 1/2 inches short.

I bought the panel and several pieces of Utopia yardage. I made the panel quilt as a lap quilt. I bought the Utopia jelly roll and two layer cakes because this fabric paired with solid black as background makes amazingly beautiful quilts. I'm making the jelly roll quilt now using the Flying Geese Log Cabin pattern from MSQC. It's so gorgeous!!!

I bought this panel kit (wall hanging) that I wanted to enlarge to make a larger quit out of. Finding it challenging to find other materials I can use to make it larger. I was not really happy with the backing fabric that was suggested. I would recommend to keep this a wall hanging unless you have access to lots of fabric to chose from to enlarge.

The colors are brilliant. I have not started on it yet because I want to make it into a bed quilt. When I get to that point I will be purchasing much more fabric

The good quality of the fabric makes this a breeze to work with. Granddaughter just loves this.
