Soak Wash

You invest a lot of time, talent, and treasure into the quilts and garments you create. You want these items to be well-loved or in other words well-used. That means the things you make are going to need to be laundered. So what is the best way to clean the items you have lovingly stitched?

At Missouri Star, we like to use Soak wash for our quilts and delicate garments. Soak soap is a no rinse laundry detergent that is skin and fabric friendly. It is gentle enough to wash baby items or even bathe your pets. Soak wash rinse is also an excellent choice for washing lingerie, linen, silk, wool, cashmere, delicate knitwear, dancewear, and swimwear. Soak wash ingredients are biodegradable and will not harm the planet. Even the bottles are made of material that has been recycled.

Soak fabric wash is intended for hand washing. After testing for color fastness, simply soak the item for 15 minutes. Soak is a low-suds, no-rinse detergent. Just squeeze the water out of the item after soaking; the dirt will stay with the water. If you use a scented Soak, a light fragrance is the only thing that will be left behind. There is also a Soak scentless fabric wash for people who are sensitive to fragrance. This no-rinse method of cleaning saves water–another plus for the planet!

Soak wash laundry detergent may be used in High Efficiency washing machines. Use the delicate cycle and cool water. Set your machine to use or skip the rinse cycle–whichever you prefer. Soak Wash Inc recommends using a lingerie bag for your delicate items when washing them in a machine.
