    Skinny Pineapple trim tool makes this quilt super easy

    This Creative Grids trim tool makes the pineapple quilt block super easy - and trimming with each round keeps everything square and professional looking. The "skinny" pineapple makes efficient use of your smaller scraps, I made a 12 block quilt all from scraps on hand. Only small quibble is that the instructions are printed on a folded large poster size paper, would have been easier to use if printed in booklet form. There are several youtube videos saying that you don't need the trim tool to make this block - that's true, but the template makes the trimming quick, easy, and accurate. Happy I bought this and will probably buy other Creative Grids templates based on my positive experience with this one.

    I haven't tried this yet...

    I haven't tried this template yet, but excited to have it in my newly acquired arsenal of quilting options. I'll update after I use it. I've had lots of projects to work on for my daughter's wedding. This will be a fun project for me.

    Comments on the Creative Grids 12" Skinny Pineapple Trim Tool

    I made one quilt block with the Creative Grids 12" Skinny Pineapple Trim Tool. I find the concept of guided trimming to be very good. However, I found that the width of the surface guide lines to be too wide. The lines are so wide that they cover up the seam below I am trying to match. Consequently, my quilt block turned out a little off-square and a little off-size. I probably won't use this tool again. I have since taken up making blocks for my Pineapple pattern quilt using the paper piecing method.
