Quilting Product Description

Blue fireworks are the rarest color and this incredible quilt is filled with blue stars that remind us of these rare beauties bursting in the sky. Jubilee is an awe-inspiring block of the month quilt created with an array of blue stars radiating out from the center. These traditionally-pieced blocks are made with squares and rectangles, so there are no Y-seams to worry about!

Designed by Marilyn Foreman, each shipment of this 12-month Block of the Month program contains directions and Silver Jubilee fabrics for a section of the quilt, by Maywood Studio. Finishing instructions and binding fabrics will be included in the last shipment.

Backing sold separately, 10 yards or 3 1/3 yards of 108" wide backing needed. We recommend Silver Jubilee - Spaced Floral Blue Yardage.

A coordinating Missouri Star thread pack is available separately.

    I think it is beautiful, I am learning so much and finding out what I need to know. I am still a month behind but I am catching up. Being new at quilting but not sewing I am anxious to see the end .

    Fun Technique

    I learned how to do a kaleidoscope block with this pattern. It was really fun and I hope to try it with some other prints.

    The fabrics are a nice quality and coordinate well. The instructions can be a bit confusing at times so this is a pattern that takes a confident and intermediate quilter. I like that some fabrics are saved for following months so as not to waste product.

    Confusing Instructions

    The cut-out method and directions to save for months in advance are very confusing. The need to keep these pieces identified and stored in orderly fashion takes a lot of the joy of constructing these blocks. The ability to imagine the finished design, which is typically your art to design, is impossible to imagine because you have to use your design skills on just that one block. Too much time and thought is spent on figuring out the use of precut pieces.
