Quilting Cotton

  • Description: High-quality, 100% cotton fabric with a tight weave, making it durable and easy to work with.
  • Texture: Smooth and slightly crisp, providing a good structure for quilt pieces.
  • Uses: Commonly used for quilt tops, backs, and bindings. Available in various prints and solids.
  • Care: Machine washable and generally easy to maintain.

Batiks

  • Description: Hand-dyed fabric using a wax-resist technique, resulting in unique patterns and vibrant colors.
  • Texture: Slightly stiffer than regular cotton but softens with washing.
  • Uses: Ideal for artistic and modern quilts due to their distinctive patterns and color variations.
  • Care: Machine washable and colorfast.

Flannel

  • Composition: Mostly 100% cotton, but sometimes blended with synthetic fibers like polyester. Features a high thread count.
