Jingle in July 2026 Recap: Christmas Came Early in Hamilton!

What happens when you combine the magic of Christmas with the warmth of a Missouri summer? You get Jingle in July — and this year's celebration in Hamilton was our most festive yet! From holiday fabric showcases to falling snow on the patio, Quilt Town, USA truly became a winter wonderland in the middle of July.

Ho Ho Holiday Showcase at the Main Shop

The heart of Jingle in July was the Ho Ho Holiday Showcase at the Main Shop. On Thursday, July 16th and Friday, July 17th, guests gathered at 11am and 1pm for special product showcases featuring the newest holiday fabric and kits of the season. From gorgeous Christmas prints to ready-to-sew kits, there was something for every quilter's holiday project list.

The energy in the room was contagious — quilters oohing and aahing over fresh holiday collections, snapping photos, and already planning their Christmas quilts months ahead of schedule. That's the Missouri Star way: get a head start on holiday crafting while it's still warm outside!

Santa's Sewing Shop: Where It's Christmas Every Day

No Jingle in July celebration would be complete without a visit to Santa's Sewing Shop — the one place in Hamilton where it's Christmas every single day of the year! During the event, our very own elves were on hand during open hours, showing off ALL the newest holiday fabric and kits.

Free Holiday Make & Takes

One of the best parts of Jingle in July? The free Make & Takes — no experience or ticket required! Just drop in, get crafty, and take home something handmade and beautiful.

Christmas Ornaments with Shelby & Morgan

On Thursday afternoon, Shelby and Morgan set up in the Fabric Market from 2–3pm and helped guests create adorable Christmas ornaments using fabric scraps. It was the perfect activity — quick, fun, and a great way to use up those cherished holiday fabric leftovers. Guests walked away with one-of-a-kind ornaments ready to hang on the tree this December.

Leather Christmas Ornaments with Tina Hancock

On Friday morning, Tina Hancock from Hometown Leather joined us in the Accessories Shop from 10am–1pm for a special leather crafting Make & Take. Guests got to create darling Christmas items out of leather — a unique twist on traditional ornament-making that had everyone buzzing. The finished pieces were absolutely stunning and unlike anything you'd find in a store.

Free Holiday Demos

Panel Embroidery Demo with Natalie & Misty

Thursday also featured a free demo that drew a crowd! Natalie and Misty took the stage in the Main Shop at 11am for a Panel Embroidery Demo, showing guests how to add beautiful embroidery details to fabric panels. It was an inspiring session full of tips, creativity, and plenty of "I can do that!" moments.

Wreath & Repeat Demo with Andrea

Andrea wowed guests with her Wreath & Repeat Demo, showcasing a stunning fabric wreath wall hanging on a canvas blank. The project combined beautiful holiday fabrics into a gorgeous applique wreath design — perfect for adding a handmade touch to your seasonal décor.

Snow in July — Yes, Really!

You read that right. It snowed in Hamilton, Missouri — in July.

Every day at 10am, noon, and 2pm, the patio in front of Mococos and Eggos transformed into a winter wonderland with falling snow. Guests caught snowflakes, kids squealed with delight, and everyone soaked up the most magical surprise of the summer.

But the fun didn't stop with the flurries — there were games and free prizes that made every single visit worth the trip. Snow in July? Only in Quilt Town!
