This pattern worked up quickly and produced an intricate looking quilt. I would recommend watching Jenny’s tutorial. I had never made half square triangles using this patterns method and was a bit confused at first. Once I understood the process, I was pleased with the ease and accuracy. Overall, I am very happy with the end result and would highly recommend Antique Lace.

Stash buster!

In so many patterns, I end up with scraps of half square triangles that I never know what to do with. Voila! Each block uses 32 of these leftover blocks. Yippee!

Beautiful design, excellent instructions

I purchased the digital version of the Antique Lace pattern (I live in England, and postage for all US quilting supplies is prohibitive unfortunately). It downloads quickly and, as with all MSQC patterns, the instructions are a dream to follow. I am using Kaffe Fassett’s blue begonia leaves fabric, and I have increased the size to 90’’ x 90’’ easily. The photo shows the first four blocks made…roughly a quarter of the finished quilt.

A lovely pattern. I have just spent a week in blissful solitude, therefore able to focus and really enjoy uninterrupted hours sewing. I cut the strips from yardage using my new extravagance, CG Stripoligy XL. Such a pleasure. The pattern instructions are clear and easy to follow. I referred to the YouTube tutorials as I went along. Very pleased with my quilt top. I'm a lazy quilter, avoiding exactly this type of detailed challenge. This pattern certainly helped me practice my points and joins...

Love this pattern which I have made using batik fabrics. Still needs the outer border and then it will go in the queue for longarm quilting. My sister loved the look of this but wants me to make the ‘Petite’ version……..

Antique Lace

I enjoyed making the Antique Lace Quilt. My version was only 57" square as I misread the half square triangles should be 2 1/2 FINISHED, so mine were 2" finished. I didn't worry, as most my quilts are in the medium lap size. I will post a photo.
