    Only for the advanced

    I thought I would like making this quilt, but I hated making it. I didn't use the fabric on the card, I used brown floral patterns. The directions were not clear on how many of each size piece to cut.

    Once that was figured out, my initial squares weren't square. I waited to sew 4 of the squares together BEFORE I squared them up. However, my squares (4 squares sewn together) were bowed or bowl shaped, they wouldn't lay flat.

    I used basting spray to get them to lay flat onto my batting. I was using the method QAYG, & after & ONLY AFTER, I quilted the finished squares I squared them up to be a finished size of 16" loosing part of the outer flying geese & outer log cabin strip.

    I'm adding binding strips to my quilt to help cover the missing geese & narrow outer strips.

    Always dreamed of doing a log cabin quilt but not after this one.

    Would have been nice to give tips of how to keep your squares square so everything lines up.

    It’s really a funky pattern that will be fun to make.

    Most unusual log cabin I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait to get my strips out.
