Hobbs was the only King sized batting available for purchase, so I bought it. It wasn’t what i originally wanted, but it turned out to be great for the quilt I was making. I did successfully pre wash the battling, carefully following the package directions. I did this because the package said that it could shrink up to 5 percent when washed. My quilt was a gift and I didn’t want to chance it shrinking when my recipient needed to wash it.

Gotten thinner

I usually buy Hobbs by the roll. This one is wider than the roll! I was disappointed in the thickness. Glad it’s a summer quilt.

Using Hobbs

I have been hand quilting a quilt for my daughter. It is mostly darker fabric. I have never had a problem with the light colored batting! But this time I have white fuzz all over and even had to buy a special brush to get the lint out of the way! It has been a very unpleasant experience. I will never buy it again.
