Ok, but.....

Gorgeous once finished but the instructions call for "grid" stabilizer to put this together. The grid did not come with the kit, which was frustrating. I didn't want to spend more money so I was able to make it without. The key for color was a little hard to follow, but it all came together really well.

STRIKING WALLHANGING

I liked the colors included in the kit. The fabric stretched some, so I would suggested some spray starch before assembly.

Not as pictured

Colors were completely different than photo. I had to go buy additional fabric to replace a lime green fabric that came in for the cross portion. Was very disappointed in the color and quality of the fabric in this piece.

At the Cross

I am VERY disappointed that I paid so much for this kit & the fabric with it looks nothing like the picture. Now I will need to buy different fabrics to make it look presentable! This was to be a Christmas give for my daughter because she liked it so much! I would be ashamed to give it to her with these colors!

Cross wall hanging

This was a good kit, except the fabric for the cross was actually purple. I thought it would be brown like the pic. And the accent fabric was a neon multicolor fabric, not brown. I also had to buy the grid separately to piece it easier. But it was fun to make and very beginner friendly! I didn’t change any of the fabrics, I used what was sent.

Nice Kit but Don’t Miss the desired Quilt Grid

I had seen this on Pinterest and was happy to find it. It was not hard to assemble but I did not notice that the preferred method is to use the quilt grid which I did not purchase. I didn’t want to wait so ended up having to cut 2 of the 3 cross pieces into 2” squares. I winged the main cross section and it turned out fine I think. I needed to shave another quarter inch off the horizontal cross section but this was a weekend project so I just made it work. Lol . I also wasn’t a big fan of the...

At the Cross

My quilter sent me a picture of this quilt hanging. I thought it was absolutely gorgeous so I went to Missouri Star Quilt to see if I could find the kit which I did. I was not familiar with a quilt grid but I soon learned and went to our local quilt shop to purchase. If you are not familiar with watercolor quilts, you lay the 2" square pieces down on the fusing side of the quilt grid which you can purchase by the yard. You lay it according to the pattern with the darker pieces on the edges and...

Excellent

This wall hanging was a lot of fun to do. Enjoyed it very much. The only thing I did not like and it was my fault I didn’t realize it didn’t come with a grid for placement of the squares. So I made my own and it worked out just fine. 🙂

Fun to make

This kit was fun to make. I'd been wanting to try a water-color quilt for awhile, but who has enough tiny flower fabric scraps in lots of colors to do one without a kit? However I didn't like the 2 batiks supplied to make the outline behind the maroon cross. They clashed, so I eliminated them and just filled in those spaces with more very light prints. I liked it much better that way.
