    Challenging yet fun

This is a fun project. I have never done a quilt as you go so I picked probably the more difficult one to do. I sew by machine. The making of the Hexies is quite fun and went surprisingly quick. The sewing of the hexagons together in rows is a bit more challenging. I have a Brother sewing machine that does a variety of stitches and I found a joining stich that looks pretty neat. Please excuse the excessive threads on my design wall LOL.

    Haven't started on this project

I love the concept and plan to make one for myself, first. Then someone or two will be getting an early Christmas gift.

    Hexie tree

I had not been aware that I would need a specialized template to cut these hexies. And it is not cheap even though it has limited use.
