Quilting Product Description

This 1/2" x 9" seam marking tool is long enough to mark the diagonal of a 6 1/2" square. Mark through the slotted center with any mechanical pencil and sew 1/4" on each side of the tool. Or mark the sewing line by drawing on both outside edges. The exclusive grip holds the tool in place while marking.

What a perfect little ruler. I love HST's and find sewing 1/4" away from the centre line challenging. Now I line up the centre line on the diagonal and then mark the quqrter inch mark on either side. I sew on the line much straighter than when I sew on either side of the centre line. Glad I found this ruler.

Seam Guide Tool

Using this tool makes doing half square triangles so easy. I have 3 sizes, and I use them constantly! I did need to purchase a changeable lead pencil to fit into the grooves on the tool. Other fabric marking tools wouldn't fit into the groove.

Works as it should

I like to use this for its intented purpose-marking the diagonal, but with the added extra of having your seam allowances, which for me is easier to sew on a drawn line instead of lining my presser foot and sewing against a drawn line.
