Wilmington Essentials - In the Navy Fat Quarter Gems

I love this collection of blues.

I passed on this many times because I thought it would be too dark. However, I am so happy with this purchase! It was gorgeous out of package. I washed it on hot with a little detergent and about 6 oz household vinegar, 4 color catchers… I was surprised that there was just a very minimal faint change on color catchers. A great selection of blue Tone-on-Tone. They were a wonderful addition to my Scrappy Granny Squares quilt.

I used it to give the background fabric a little more interest.

I have fallen in love with the In the Navy fabric and this was a very good Daily deal purchase.

I am drawn toward patriotic quilts. I like to keep adding to my stash so I can "shop" my own fabrics when I choose a pattern.

I love that the line of blues is the same hue. They have all been starched and cut to use in a Patriotic Quilt

I make a couple of Quilts of Valor every year, so by sticking to the same fabric line I can minimize waste. Nice, rich dark blue with muted small prints However, some of the fat quarters were not cut straight of grain, so don’t count on being able to use all 18”

I needed navy fabric but I didn’t want just a plain solid color, so when I saw all the different navy prints in this fat quarter bundle, I ordered it, it was just what I wanted. ❤️

This is a nice variety of true, deep navy tone on tone fabrics. They are a nice weight. Still debating on its use. May use for a 2 color quilt or used with other blue and white prints as an accent. Time will tell.
