This mystery doesn’t involve Colonel Mustard in the library or Professor Plum in the conservatory. It’s about Kaffe Fassett in the sewing room! Join in the fun of creating a mystery quilt designed by Kaffe Fassett and Liza Lucy. The kit for this pieced quilt, suitable for advanced beginners, includes fabrics for the top and binding from the Kaffe Fassett Collective 2024 Delft Colorway. The exact colors and patterns are part of the mystery! The quilt has a finished size of 76” x 76”.
For this mystery quilt project, seven puzzle pieces are used over four months. You will need to download the patterns every other week at freespiritfabrics.com. The fabric bundle you receive in the kit will include release dates and where to download the patterns. Patterns available for download on July 25, 2024. You will also need 2-1/2 yards of 108” wide backing. We suggest the Kaffe Fassett Collective Mystery Quilt Backing Cut - Delft Colorway, available early September 2024. A kit and backing from the Multi Colorway also are available.

A previous review said this kit was short on one of the fabrics but I ordered it anyway. The kit now includes the shorted fabric and updated cutting instructions. The fabric is beautiful and I look forward to making the quilt after the holidays.

Poorly thought out and executed

It sounded like a fun idea. It was poorly thought out and executed. There was not enough fabric for one step.(they did mail out additional fabric.) in another step you were not instructed to open up the strips to cut the template and the illustration lead one to believe the strip was folded WOF. In another instance, you were instructed to cut down a series of strips down to a certain size. The next installment had you cut these strips to a smaller size. A waste of time and effort. Wrong instructions and not enough fabric for week 3. Company says they will send more fabric. Quality control didn’t read the instructions and make the quilt
