My go-to needles

John James are my go-to needles for hand quilting. Size 9 is my choice for size, but I have used size 10. The Gold Glide and the regular are both good quality. I got the gold glide on sale. You get more needles with the regular ones.

The golden eye really makes it so much easier to thread. It is small but sharp and easy to use with hand binding. Would like to know which # size is larger as I would like a bit larger needle.

Quilting?

These must be for children or people with extremely petite fingers. The needle is the size of my thumb bed, it's very difficult not to get stabbed while trying to thread it. Also, it gets more difficult when trying to push it through fabric, even airy fabric. Very disappointing. These are very, very thin and very short, might be just what you are looking for, it just wasn't for me.
