This was a great pattern to decrease my stash of 30’s fabric. Fast and easy construction. Since I had already cut out some 8-1/2 inch squares, I adjusted the instructions for a smaller sized block. I also created other block cuts for greater variety.

Wonderful pattern for flannels

I am loving working this pattern. It is quite simple, but that’s part of the joy. You can chain piece much of it. I’m using flannel layer cakes and definitely do not want a complicated pattern for flannel. The quilt top holds interest both in the making and the finished product. Definitely recommend!

Just might be my Go-To-Pattern

I had a Liberty and Linen layer cake snoozing in my stash with no idea what to do with it - this pattern seemed to tick all the boxes....And it did ! a little confusing

This is a beautiful pattern. Says it’s good for beginners, so I chose it for my first quilt. However, it tells you the “finished” block size right after the “unfinished” block size without telling you that “finished” means “after it’s sewn in to the quilt. I trimmed several of my blocks to the “finished” size before my experienced quilting friend told me “I *think* that means after it’s sewn together”. She wasn’t even sure until we did a bunch of math. I had to buy another layer cake to re-do...
