    Not all Stonehenge Cardinal fabrics "read" as same color

    I bought this fabric to use as a surround to a Stonehenge/cardinal panel-Love Peace Joy (see pic). When I got the fabrics I needed to revise my plans as parts of the panel fabric "read" much darker-almost an oxblood. The companion fabric with lettering was even darker, so became the backing-only.

    So, I give a 4 instead of a 5 to this fabric because of the mis-match and a 2 to the panel/graphic fabric. I probably should have just thrown away the panel

    Washed well

    I am gathering red fabrics to make a wonky star quilt. Being hesitant of the bleeding some poor quality red fabrics have. I was very impressed and happy to see very slight pinkish hue in the very hot water with Color Catcher Sheets. I feel confident using it with off white background fabric now.
