Dreaming of emulating the BLOCK Magazine colors

This quilt looks totally different in BLOCK (Early winter vol 4 issue6)magazine in rich shades of burgundy, browns/tans,rusty orange from "Atelier de France" by French General for Moda Fabrics.

The overall effect is an alluring plaid that I want to emulate since I cannot find the same fabrics.

    Dream Weaver Quilt

This is a class that will be taught this coming weekend. However, I will not be attending this retreat.

The gentleman who is teaching this class is also a member of my quilt guild, and he just loves your patterns.

    One step further

I loved this pattern, once I saw the video I just had to try it. This is a baby quilt size, using up half a jelly roll I had left over plus some yardage for the sashing and white corners. Some of my strips were gradiated colors, which made it a bit harder. Mostly I just wanted to see if I could make the colors run through the whole quilt. It was fun!

    My best experience

This has been delightful to work on. I was a bit intimidated to start but I didn't need to be. One hint: When designing each block label each white block as, #1, A,B,C. Place a pin along the sewing side of it's mate and move on to all four white squares. Number the unused pieces accordingly. See the units in a chain. It is a snap to reassemble the block.
