    It was hard to open it when I first tried it. I had to put a little oil in the opening to get it started. Now it is working as it should.

    Very handy

    I have been using seam rippers forever and love this one. The retractable blade is so much better than the covers that fall off and are lost. No more poking myself when picking it up in a hurry. It does a great job of getting beneath small stitches accurately with the small blade. I am very happy I bought this tool. The rubbery handle doesn't roll off the table as easily as smooth plastic ones and is also helpful in getting stitch leavings off the seam. It fits my hand. Very cleverly made product.
