I saw it on Facebook. The instructions are easy. I looked at one review and it said to add 1/2" to the width, which I did. For my next one, I would cut a 3" x 10" strip for the pull tabs. I would fold the strip in half, press, then fold the outer edges to the middle crease and fold again and press. I would stitch down both sides. I like my raw edges tucked in the middle. I use it for my first one, then gifts.

The most fun project I've made in a long time

I received this pattern in the 2025 Jenny Box. I've made nearly 30 of these pouches as gifts. I love them and the recipients love the pouches, too! The ONLY thing I changed, because I thought the fabric was too tight on the bands, was add half an inch to the width of the pouches and it was just enough.

I used the pattern to show an 8 year old how to make a pouch. She loves it. She did all the sewing on her own. Everything was done except the French seams, but she was happy! Yes, it was fine. We used slap bands because y'all were out of them and did not know when you would get anymore.

Perfect for organizing craft tools

I have made other pouches with the snap bands and really enjoyed the pouches. When I saw this pattern, I had to have it to make this new pouch style. This pattern is for a bigger pouch. I use my pouches for organization. I store different tools for the different crafts I do in each one.

Perfect for gifts and personal use

I love the pouch! I love that the pattern has different sizes. I am using it for a pouch or two for me, then gifts for others. I’m thinking Christmas will be definitely in the mix!

Great pattern for directional prints

I started making a 2nd pouch with a directional print, both the exterior and the interior fabrics. I cut 2 pieces of each and seamed in the middle, so the print would show correctly on both the front and back of the pouch. The seam is at the bottom of the pouch.

Great for using up scraps

I haven’t made it yet as I’m waiting on the snappy bands. I'm using it to try to use up scraps for gifts.
