Punch needle embroidery is simple and fun! To get started, thread yarn through a special punch needle tool and stretch the fabric through a hoop. Then, push the needle straight through the fabric to create loops. Repeating this motion builds up soft loops that form a raised, textured design on the front of your project.
Popularized in the UK as a thrifty way to make durable mats, proddy is a form of rag rug making where short, pre-cut fabric strips are inserted through a backing material to create a fringed, textured, or fluffy pile.
