Love this batting!

I had never used this particular fusible batting before, but decided to try it, when I saw it on sale. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure if it would work as well as my regular batting, , which is fusible on both sides. I did add a few safety pins here and there, to be sure that it held. It was wonderful for machine quilting, it didn’t shift, and I had not one pucker! It was nice and soft, and has a wonderful drape. I will use it again! It washed well too!

My new favorite

I have always used Warm and White or Warm and Natural. Then I tried this. I will never go back. My quilt sandwich went together so much easier. I love how it drapes. I saved every bit of scrap and am using it on other projects. Using up my stash of Warm and Natural now and it is a struggle and I hate the way it feels.

Why fusible on only one side?

I didn’t foresee (or even know that it was a possibility) that the fusible would be on only one side. It made the quilt top and batting stick together great, and that made the quilting much easier. If it were on both sides I’d say it was perfect.

New to Me

I had never used fusible batting but with a small baby quilt decided to try it. I didn't even know what side to fuse to but decided on the backing. I could make sure the top was flat as I quilted so that was what I decided to do. What a great experience it was, never having to worry about the back. Almost finished with applique at this point so will be washing soon, looking forward to see how it looks at that point.
