This lofty, soft, insulating material is used to give your quilting and sewing projects the support and shape they need by adding a thick heat-resistant (or heat-reflective) layer to the fabric. Use sew in fleece interfacing and other insulated fleeces to structure winter garments, mittens, pot holders, casserole carriers, table toppers, and other projects that require layers.

At Missouri Star, we carry a variety of insulated fleece to cater to your project’s individual needs. We offer fusible Pellon fleece interfacing, Pellon insul fleece, and poly-therm heat reflective fleece. Among our selection of insulated fleece, you will also find top-notch batting options.

While some interfacing gives fabric a stiff quality so it can be shaped as needed, this batting provides an insulated layer and offers extra cushion for quilts, apparel, and other sewing projects. If warm, high-quality batting is what you’re looking for, try Thermolam batting. What is Thermolam? Thermolam is an extra lofty fleece with one side of fusible adhesive and it’s great for kitchen projects.

We also offer a few heat resistant fleece battings. Insul-bright is a well-known example of heat-resistant batting. What can you use instead of Insul-bright? Insulation material such as flannel, heavy-duty fabric scraps, or other brands of quilt batting can be used instead of Insul-bright.
