    Making for my friend

    4 stars because the strips next to cross are not like this pattern shows. Too bright green and bright red. I knew the pattern did not include the foundation materials for nice finish. However, the blocks and strips are 2' cuts not 2.5 squares and strips. Not sure I recall seeing that in description. I do have a fabric that I can substitute for strips I do not like, and I do hope she will love this wall quilt.

    Loved it but…

    Love how it turned out but the strips weren’t cut straight. Another thing though not a huge deal was the squares were sent in light, med and dark but the instructions want light, medium light, medium dark and dark. Some of it was hard to tell which category. Other than that, it was quick and easy to put together. Instructions were clear and very easy to follow! I ended up buy 3 kits! It turned out beautiful!

    Nice Kit but Don’t Miss the desired Quilt Grid

    I had seen this on Pinterest and was happy to find it. It was not hard to assemble but I did not notice that the preferred method is to use the quilt grid which I did not purchase. I didn’t want to wait so ended up having to cut 2 of the 3 cross pieces into 2” squares. I winged the main cross section and it turned out fine I think. I needed to shave another quarter inch off the horizontal cross section but this was a weekend project so I just made it work. Lol . I also wasn’t a big fan of the green accent piece but overall it was a nice little project. Now I have the experience, I might try another of my own colors choosing. 😁 but for now I need to quilt, bind and wrap this one up.

    not crazy about the fabric choices. colors were kind of wierd and fabric was very stringy. would not do it again.
