Zero on marking pins??

The zero for A, 1 for B, 2 for C is really messing with my brain as I have assigned 1 to 26 for alphabetical sequence All. My. Life. I gave three stars for giving four sets, in a handy case, with a non-pointy shape. I can't get over the weird-to-me numbering so I will be using a sharpie to erase one side.

ABC123 Pins Perfect for Piecing Parts with Precision

These pins go from 0 to 25 on one side and A to Z on the other side. This allows me to label my individual block, rows and sections to keep all the parts in order. If the pattern is written with directions labeled A to... OR 1 to ... it allows me to label to match the directions. It also allows me to label to match the notes I may make on my pattern and to mark the rows as I put them on my design wall. The bonus for me is that they are purple, my favorite color.

Fun, Useful, but not Perfect

I've had these a week and already used them twice! They are definitely useful for keeping track of blocks and rows in quilting. If I could improve them, I'd make them sharper (so they'd be easier to quickly push them through several layers of fabric) and the heads less fragile. Example, I accidentally sewed over the head of one of the pins and the needle went right through! It didn't ruin it (or break the needle) but came close to both. Aside from that, they are fun to use and a nice addition...

Not what I expected/hoped for

I thought these would be Alphabet AND Numbers...instead they are alphabet on one side WITH numbers on the backside. Defeats the purpose of saving time...I've spent a lot of time searching for the E or the B...and have to turn over each one. And they didn't even put the "A" as "1"...it's a "0"! So you can't even count your ABC's and get the correct/corresponding alphabet letter you're looking for. In the scheme of life these aren't the worst thing that could happen...but very disappointed and...

Great concept

These pins are a great concept, but I am finding that I need to clean each pin before I use it. If I don't it often snags my fabrics. More attention needs to be put into the actual material that is being used

Must have.

The ABC and 123 pins are essential for multi-piece quilt patterns. I just finished a block with piece s marked A-L. And another one marked A-N It helped keeping things all in order

Excellent for projects

I am so glad I made this purchase. Did not realize this is 4 sets of pins with a-z printed on one side and numbers on the other side of pin head. The heart container has 4 compartments, so you can have 4 different projects labeled with these. This makes it so much easier to keep all the different pieces properly identified.

Cool Pins

Why didn't I know about these before!!! They are just what I needed when I was doing a pattern with many columns--I was using paper and pinning it on. These will be perfect when I get to the column stage on the current quilt. I also decided when I get to row 27 I could just use a 2 and a 7. Thanks!

Since you asked . . .

The concept of these pins meets the purpose . . . Since there are four compartments and four sets of pins, I would have preferred TWO sets of NUMBERS ONLY, and TWO sets of ALPHA LETTERS ONLY, not numbers on one side and letters on the reverse side. As it is I'm having to fumble around with them to get the correct side I want to work with (letters or numbers) and it gets frustrating. Also, if you're using both numbers and letters at once, it's a pain to sort through if a pin was used as a letter...
