I bought some useful tools for keeping squared- up. I used the Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmers B, an Omnigrid 4 1/2" sq template, a MS 5"x15" Ruler, and Mary Ellen's Best Press for crispness in matching seams for assembling it. You'll make half-squares, flying geese sewn to a rectangle, and a central square, so it makes a nine-patch. The challenge was sewing each block to another and nesting every seam.
