Frustrated with instructions for 60 degree stars quilt
When I saw the video I decided I had to make this quilt. The blocks were so fun to make and looked exactly like the video. I however had to give it 3 stars because the instructions are not clear and there is an error. The “other things needed” is the 8 in Equilateral 60 deg ruler or the template which is 8 inches. However it says cut (2) 9 in strips from background used for triangles at top and bottom of columns. I thought the error was it should be 8 inch strips - but the 8 in triangles do not square off - they are stretched. They should be 9 in triangles and then trimmed. But your template is for 8 inches which will not work for this part of the quilt! I was lucky I had a 12 inch 60 deg ruler. (Once I got past the incorrect cut fabric and frustration it came out as a lovely quilt)
