I love the pattern, but did not find directions clear. It says to "gather up your stash of squares" but doesn't say how many you need for each side. After watching the tutorial, I learned that I needed six squares for each side. Perhaps for some people that was obvious since we had 12 black squares, but it was not obvious to me. Also, It would be nice to be able to use some of your stash of small pieces of fabric, so maybe once I make one, I could figure out how to do that with leftover pieces.
