Beautiful and useful charm squares

The Spectrum 5" Squares are beautiful and ever so useful, with a full color range. Windham is a company I like very much. When I make nine patches with charm squares, I usually put a near/solid charm in the 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 positions. The patterned charms do not get cut, just the background. If I want to "punch up" the split nine patch, I substitute the Spectrum color in position 5, the center, which gets cut into four smaller pieces in split nine-patch. Perfect for my quilt project

The solid bright colors drew me in. I need some solids for my next quilt, and these precuts are perfect. They'll be the solid background for half square triangles. The squares hold up really well and feel soft but not flimsy.
