Quilting Product Description

You'll have zippers for days with this 3-yard roll of Sallie Tomato #5 Nylon Zipper Tape! The white tape has a 5mm-wide antique coil and includes nine matching metal pulls with an antique finish. Easily cut and sew through the nylon coil to create the length you need. Make single or double slide zippers! Sallie Tomato recommends #5 zippers (5mm coil width) for handbags, backpacks, totes, and general purpose use, and #3 zippers (3mm coil width) for use on applications such as pouches, wallets, and internal pockets in larger bags.

    Sallie Tomato Zippers and Pulls!

    I went to the MSQC Accessories Shop in Hamilton, Mo. and was just impressed with all the purse kits by Sallie Tomato. I was looking at their Miranda Bag and the construction. I am adding the YouTube tutorial for this bag in my comments here. I have been making tote-bags of my own at home and wanted to add the recessed zipper to my bags. So, I purchased the Sallie Tomato Zippers & Pulls in the Antique Bronze. I think that adding the recessed zipper element to my bags, will help me not loose items out the top. I tend to fling my tote-bags around and I wanted to be able to secure-close, the top opening. I included a picture of a zippered bag “What’s Sewing On” that I got at my MSQC retreat. When I got home, I made it into my Zipper Kit bag for all my zipper supplies. The other picture that I included in this review is one of my bags that I long-arm quilted the 1930’s reproduction fabric and made a tote out of it. This Sallie Tomato tutorial and recessed zipper will solve my problem and give my tote-bags a more finished look! I can't wait to complete my zipper project.
