Artisan Batiks - Liberty 2 Ten Squares

Though I'm not ready to make something with these batiks (have one to finish first) I love looking at it and planning for a QOV. It is gorgeous and the colors are amazing!

I am living the layered cake and working on Delectable Mountains to go on around a panel for a QOV, Quilts of Valor quilt.

The Patriotic Batik 10" squares are beautiful and I look forward to using them in my next Veteran's quilt project.

.. but disappointed as the scale and sizes were not what I was needing. Also some of the motifs were 'fuzzier' than I needed. My fault - as batiks are often less sharp, Quality of fabric seems OK, but I will pre-soak before using to make sure the really intense reds don't run.

Very nice colors. Would buy again. Will make a beautiful quilt of Valor. Caught it on deal of the Day.

I was disappointed in the quality of this fabric. I don’t usually use batiks so perhaps I’m out of line. The fabric was thin, and fraying was a problem.

I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered how pretty these fabrics were. Can’t decide how to best show the beauty of them in a quilt.

I love the design and colors. I haven't used them yet, but am concerned about color fastness.
