Pattern poorly written

I have been a bagmaker for 3 years now and have at made at least 100 patterns in that time frame. Unfortunately, this pattern is very hard to follow. I kind of just used the measurements as a guide and ended up having to make my own instructions. From what I understand, you will have a removable base. This pattern would highly benefit from a video tutorial.

I was confused

I have been sewing for well over 50 years. I have made prom dresses, men's sports coats, dresses. aprons, quilts, halloween costumes galore.... not a novice here but I found the pattern a bit confusing. It wou8ld have been better to have the pieces identified differently and not just by size.

My thoughts

I absolutely loved the look of the caddy. Was exactly what I wanted to make BUT in the end it did not work for my needs. Pattern easy to follow. Directions clear. Problem for me was the way the straps attached.... they would not be strong enough if used for hanging on side of dorm loft bed for storing a small laptop or heavier items IE: books
