High Tide Quilt Pattern

Very clear directions! I consider myself an experienced beginner quilter. I followed the directions exactly except I purchased bias tape instead of making my own. I used batik fabric for the tighter weave. Since I am new to machine quilting, I wish I would have chosen a backing fabric that matched more closely to my bias tape so my mistakes wouldn’t show as much.

I was looking for a summer themed table runner. This pattern was perfect for that. I almost used store bought bias tape. Using Elmer’s glue to attach the pieces and only overlapped 1/4” seemed a little weak so I added and inch to overlap it more. I really like the table runner

Easy to use, makes a beautiful quilt in little to no time, and is useful for so many variations. I used it to make a beach scene starting with 2 beach sand colors, then white surf, many varies blue water pieces, dolphins, other blue sky pieces, and finally seagulls.

I love the technique!!! Since I have a stash, I am using High Tide to make Christmas table runners and toppers for gifts!!!!
