Kaffe Fassett Collective Exploding Heart Quilt Kit

I have not been quilting for very long. The Exploding Heart quilt is my second kit I have made. I enjoyed making it. There was alittle extra fabric in case of oops moments. The directions were clearly written. The fabric colors were fantastic.

Beautiful I bought it for a friend who had expressed interest in it. It was a surprise for her 80th birthday and she loved it.

The kit is wonderful. The instructions are very easy to follow and the fabrics are beautiful. I never would have been able to get these fabrics together and trust myself that they would work! I’m working away furiously because I can’t wait to see what it looks like all together. Can’t really comment on the final result because I haven’t started to sew it together yet.

2 weeks late background did not go well with the kaffe heart so switched.

Of all of the heart quilts, pillows, placemats ..., that I've looked at this year this is the one I like the best. I'm not usually taken with any of the Kaffe Fassett prints as I find they are too bold for my taste but they work lovely in this quilt.

I love the colors and the pattern is so fun to put together I'm half way there cant wait to finish

I finished this quilt a couple of weeks ago, and it is in my Great Niece's bedroom now. The pattern was well planned out, and fairly easy to execute. It was a challenge at times for my 81 year old brain, and I felt at times like a blithering idiot while placing the blocks on my design wall. But, it is beautiful !!! She loves it, and that's all that matters.

I am having such a good time making this quilt!! Love it!

It turned out beautiful. There is lots of trimming but once all the blocks are ready it goes together fast.
