Lori Holt Rustproof Blocking Pretty Pins

I make a lot of machine embroidered free standing lace and have tried numerous methods such as double sided tape on the inner hoop, wrapping the inner hoop with tacky vilene, strong silver tape, long strong quilting pins etc, in a vain attempt to stop the soluble stabiliser from slipping during stitch out. All had their various idiosyncrasies and all were less than perfect at holding the stabiliser drum tight. The larger the design the more difficult it was to keep taught during the stitching...

in case you do some crochet work or you are a knitter, you need those pins together with Lori Holts blocking foam board. I love to square my granny squares by watering them and then pin them onto the board with these pins so they become all even and the same size and they lay flat! Great product!

These work great when I add blocks to quilts on my design wall.

I use these with my embroidery machines to do a final securing of the stabilizer in the hoop. Works awesome.

Of course, I use them for blocking, but I love to use them at home and school on bulletin boards. Perfect length.
