Glacier Pecan Minky Yardage
Lux Cuddle is a wonderful fabric that lends itself beautifully to your quilt projects. It is solid enough to hold it's shape.
This was the backing for a lap quilt. It was easy to work with. As with any Minky yardage there will be a little 'fluff'. Minimum cuts on this backing will help with that. Straighten the top and bottom edges. Clear away the fluff with packing tape, rolled around your fingers, sticky side out. Use a cotton leader to attach to the top and bottom, for quilting yourself or for your long armer. (about 63'' across, and about 8 - 10" deep.)
Use a piece of cotton fabric in place of batting.
Using the same procedure you would use, if you were using batting. If long arming yourself, you will love the ease of it all. If you are giving it to a long armer, make sure there is ample cotton.
Once it is quilted, remove the basted on leaders. Trim the sides to get it ready for the binding.
The weight is a double sensory experience. The softness of Cuddle, and the weight is wonderful
