An easy-to-make teddy bear pattern without joints. Turn out-grown baby clothes into a special momento. Pattern, designed by Pauline McArthur of Funky Friends Factory, includes instructions for the 12" soft stuffy.
Our guild had a workshop using this pattern-it was extremely helpful. The pattern is not for beginners and since I used Minky for my bear, I made it more difficult for myself. The most difficult seam for me was sewing the upper arm to the lower arm, neck and back. In spite of struggling with the pattern the bear turned out great !
This is a difficult pattern to follow, but with much studying and frustration I was able to make the bear. It is the cutest bear and a nice size too. I plan on making some more, which the pattern will be easier to follow.
Haven't tried it yet, but have made other funky friends patterns...the cat and the floppy eared dog. Both were loved by the recipients. I will make this as a stand by for gift on hand when need arises.
I will enjoy making this memory bear for friends and loved ones. A wonderful way to use fabric from clothing worn by the loved one into a soft, comforting bear. At this time, I have not made mine yet, but look forward to creating the bear for others, as well as myself.
