Miranda Tote Kit - Surface Cork Natural

I really like the pattern and have made it with regular quilting fabric but was very dissapointed in the materials in the kit. The cork was so hard to work with. The handles are flimsy and twisted. The tops an was very hard to stitch and wrinkles and twist like the handles. The lining was very flimsy and raveled like crazy. Like I said, I like the pattern but the kit material as terrible. I did this purse with 2 fellow sewers and they had the same problems.

Kit was exactly as advertised. This was my first bag like this. I had never done a recessed zipper, never used cork before and never sewn a lining in this manner. The step by step video tutorial was EXCELLENT. I have since bought two other Sally Tomato bag kits through MSQC. Would definitely recommend.

Love it! Just finished making it and really like it. I added a larger slip pocket to the inside as well as a zippered pocket.

The directions were easy to follow and the tutorial assisted with a visual representation. Looks professional.

I was so excited to receive my kit for the Miranda Tots h, however, the measurements in the instructions did not match the kit . I thought I did not have what I needed for the first step in the tutorial . As it turned out and very kindly explained to me by Tamara from customer service, I actually did have an extra piece of cork needed for the straps that was indeed long enough .
