Love the Perle Cotton floss!

I purchased the Sweet Meadows embroidery kit to create a quilt for a new great grandchild. I find the 6 strand DMC floss to be bothersome. After reading other MSQC reviews about the Perle Cotton floss, I thought I’d give it a try. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! There is no separating the strands, and it is packaged conveniently. I am using a natural colored 10” square to embroider on and will add sashing, backing, and borders to incorporate all the colors of the Perle pack.

Lovely kit

Frankly, I am not sure what I'm going to do with this... it was just too good to pass up, especially on sale. The granddaughter of my next-door neighbor wants to learn to sew and it seems like some simple embroidery would be a great place for us to start. I couldn't resist all the patterns and even bought some additional floss.. I am quite sure it will never end up as a quilt, although I am a quilter. I see it as a teaching tool with much to choose from. Back in the day I loved doing counted...

I had never embroidered with perl cotton before - I have always used 6 strand floss from various companies. Stitching with perl cotton makes it go so much faster. The colors are vibrant and the perl cotton is easy to work with. Highly recommend this priduct
