Blemishes

I had to have a replacement kit sent because the first had many brown waxy blemishes and the squares were not cut square. I could scrape aome of the blemishes off, bit others left large dark stains. The replacement had the same problem, but between the 2 kits I have enough salvageable pieces to make the quilt. Missouri Star Quilt Co was great to work with though and sent me the replacement right away.

Hourglass wreath quilt

I love this quilt. I gave it to my niece with a matching jelly roll rug . Her best friend had me make one for her too.

Fabric choice is not great

I have decided that I cannot use the fabrics of the kit for this quilt. The fabrics are just too light and pastel. Consequently, I have not attempted to make this quilt. I probably should have returned it.

Looks good

The pattern is good, the fabric is good and I look forward to having the time to make the quilt.
