Smelled horrible

When I opened the plastic package they smelled horrible. Tried airing them. Contacted customer service but no call back. Airing didn't help. I gave them a two star only because they are pretty. Going to try soaking in vinegar and washing with dawn soap. Alot more time spent on them in hopes of losing the smell. Would not want them ruining my quilt.
