Going ti be expensive to make

I got this pattern in the mail and the book looks really nice. The directions seem to be easy to follow. The issues is that to us the fabrics they recommend you are going to be paying alot. Nearly all call for 1/8 of a yard the rest call for 1/4. Only the background color is anything of size. Being required to buy 1/2 a yard of each color, double or 4x as much as needed. I am not sure if I am going to be making this any time soon.

Interesting book and likely a more interesting project!

I bought this book a while ago because I thought it would be an interesting project. There appear to be a lot of small pieces but the layout of the pattern will allow for creating the quilt one section of the country at a time. I wish there was a kit for this as that would make the fabric purchase and selection easy but, I will do my own thing. It might even become a scrap quilt with all those scraps leftover from the Amish with a Twist quilts I have done previously.
