Wilmington Essentials - Sparkles Light Blue 108" Wide 3 Yard Cut

I’m sending the before washing and after washing pictures I’m baffled as to why one of these fabrics ran and only into one white fabric, it happened on the blue and the purple fabrics that I bought for backings. I actually put a piece of each in water but nothing happened, so I have no idea which fabric ran. I also used 4 grabbits in each wash and I did this one 3 times and it’s still running but you know what it made this unique

This is just perfect for my quilt backing and will be a beautiful back-to-front binding!

Ohhhhhhh my goodness, I have never had fabric's dye run so much. I washed it 3 times in hot water with at least 8 color catchers and it still ran dye on my big ironing board, ruining the cover when I ironed it. I am not sure I want to use it on the quilt I had planned for . This is one time I am very disappointed. I am sorry I can not recommend this backing without the suggestion to wash well before using. - P

I am just finishing up a batik quilt and can’t wait to use this for the backing.

Usually when you get the blues…you’re a bit “off” kilter. This blue fabric made my heart soar! It will be backing for an upcoming quilt gift (shhh!) -Sharon
