Windy City Christmas Book
No matter where you live, Marshall Field’s is a name that immediately conjures up images of the big department store in Chicago. Christmas was a magical time there for many. Diana Richards and Jan McGrath have captured that magic in Christmas Window Quilt and 14 other projects designed around memories of visiting the store during the holiday. Children’s aprons, a wall quilt, place mats and napkins, tote bags, pillows, a tree skirt, and more with embellished embroidery, piecing, and appliqué are in store for you in Windy City Christmas.

Nostalgia

Marshall Field's was a part of my life for almost 80 years. Christmas windows and lunch in the Walnut Room beside the enormous Christmas tree that soared up to the Tiffany dome was part of my and my children's holidays. Very special to have this reminder of what is now only memories. I no longer live in the Chicago area but am blessed to have experienced such beauty. This book provides some patterns to help replicate Uncle Mistletoe and a few other traditional favorites

Lived in Chicago and always went to Marshall Field's every Christmas and had lunch in The Walnut Room. This book is a wonderful memory.

Windy City Christmas

Love this little book. It brought back so many of my childhood experiences at Marshall Fields. When I worked at a Chicago Radio Station I would walk over to Fields on my lunch hour and head straight for the fabric department. Many times I ran into my sister in the fabric dept! She will be getting the book for Christmas too!
